Abstract

Improvement of the quality of training future specialists in the field of information technology requires the development of a methodological system of fundamental training of future IT professionals for productive professional activities, which, in turn, requires the definition of the structure and content of their professional competence. In the article on the basis of theoretical analysis of the production process of IT products creation, state and international standards, scientific and methodological literature on the training of IT specialists, the structure and content of their professional competence have been developed.

The professional competence of a specialist in the field of information technology has a hierarchical structure that fully reflects the structure of the production process at each stage of the creation of an IT product. The content of the professional competence of an IT specialist is a set of knowledge, skills and abilities in technical training, ensuring the functioning, control of the functioning of the IT product production process, design, manufacture, maintenance (exploitation), improvement, restoration (repair) of the IT product, resource planning of the production process, accounting and analysis of the current production process, the regulation of the production process of the IT product. The content of the professional competence of an IT specialist also includes such professionally important personal qualities as: initiative, enthusiasm, logical, critical, divergent and convergent thinking, ability to solve problems, creativity, erudition, work ethic, communication skills, teamwork skills, self-reflection and independence. The obtained results will be used for the development of a fundamentalized methodological system of teaching computer disciplines to future specialists in the field of information technologies.
