Strategic management of the system of scientific and methodical work in higher educational establishments

Abstract

The main aspects of strategic management of the system of scientific and methodological work in higher educational establishments are analyzed in the article. The paper substantiates the expediency of strategic management of the system of scientific and methodological work in higher educational institutions basing on the matrix of the organizational structure which combines vertical and horizontal management relationships, taking into account the advantages of both functional and adaptive principles of construction.

Some organizational (study of the main state regulations on education, organization of educational process and scientific and methodological work in higher educational establishments; introduction of informative and innovative learning technologies; comprehensive learning and teaching support materials; organization of teachers’ and students’ scientific and research work; improvement of teaching methods focused on active, innovative methods; development of personal and professional qualities of the teaching staff) and pedagogical (introduction of scientific basics of managing this system; systematic, synergistic and learner-focused approach to the organization of the scientific and methodological work; democratization of management of the scientific and methodological work; construction of a matrix management structure system of the scientific and methodological work; availability of effective methods for diagnosing the quality of scientific and methodological activities of scientific and pedagogical staff; creation of conditions for the exchange of advanced pedagogical experience; creation of a favorable social and psychological climate in a team; improvement of material and technical as well as learning and teaching support materials of higher educational establishments) conditions of management of scientific and methodological work which contribute to the attainment of the objectives for enhancing the effectiveness of strategic management are defined in the article.
