Abstract

The main characteristic of the educational activity of higher education institutions is the quality of
education, therefore the study of the features of its provision is a priority of educational policy. The article
describes the stages of the pedagogical study of the formation of graphic competence of future engineersteachers of the computer profile, as well as presents the results of the analysis of the effectiveness of the
implementation to the educational process of certain pedagogical conditions, which include: purposeful
formation of positive motivation of students, development of mental activity, integration of pedagogical and
engineering components of the specialty, system monitoring of the level of formation of components of
graphic competence.
In the process of research, theoretical, empirical and experimental methods were used. In particular,
such methods of mathematical statistics as the definition of the mean arithmetic and variance analysis
(Student's t-criterion for independent samples) are used for the interpretation of the results. Based on the
results of pedagogical research it was established that the application of certain pedagogical conditions will
increase the effectiveness of the formation of graphic competence in particular and, ultimately, will lead to an
improvement of the quality of the training of the teacher-engineer of the computer profile as a whole.
