Abstract
The essence of professional training and its features on the basis of scientific sources is
defined. The term "professional training" as the formation of the necessary professional
competences, gaining experience, and their improvement to effectively perform professional
functions is discussed. The levels of professional training which are declared in legislative
documents in the field of higher education in Ukraine are analyzed. The aims of professional
training on each level are characterized. The place of economic specialization in the professional
training of engineer pedagogue is characterized. The complex aim of professional training of
engineer pedagogue is defines as the formation of both professional and social skills.
