Abstract

Positive changes in the Ukrainian economy are not possible without the formation of the
engineering contingent at the level of modern requirements which are determined by a competence
paradigm. Therefore, higher vocational education is supposed to respond to the stated request. It is
possible to solve the problem by means of introducing innovative technologies in the educational
process. On the way of their successful implementation there is insufficient level of corresponding
methodological training of the professorial and teaching staff of higher educational institutions. To
eliminate this obstacle, the author suggests a coherent methodological environment for designing
innovative teaching technologies in the process of training future engineers. The model is
developed and the main components of this environment are substantiated. Among them there is a
block of the design of basic innovative teaching technologies, a block of technologies for
controlling the results of their implementation, and a block of the organization of research
activities of educators based on the application of innovative teaching technologies in engineering
training. The model is grounded on systemic, competence and acmeological approaches and takes
into account the principles of integrity, flexibility and dynamism, purposefulness, synergy.
