Abstract

The article draws teachers' and parents' attention to the importance of personally oriented engineering
education, which is essential during the war and post-war state, when the young generation should make
attempts to work manually and "cultivate" during their lessons and at home a life-affirming national image of
the world, which helps to connect every moment of life with the Supreme Being (the Universe or the Most
High, as who understands) and be protected from all adversities encountered in the life path. The authors discuss the way teachers and parents, who are considered to be teachers’ colleagues, use the educational and
methodological support of the "Environment" educational model for sustainable development (Ukrainian
analog of STEM education) as an embodiment of personally oriented engineering education.
Personally oriented engineering education, represented by "Environment", which is a model of
education for sustainable development, can provide educational and methodological support to equip all
levels of education (preschool, elementary, basic, and high school) with "Environment" classrooms and
holistic worldview classrooms; it can also provide home schools with methodological materials to support
home mini-workshops, virtual and augmented reality centers, smallholding and outdoor lessons. The
involvement of parents in educating students as "engineers" who will be able to do homework with the least
amount of energy, and save household funds helps to cultivate a life-affirming national image of the world
among young generations who will become defenders of the homeland that will complement the lifeaffirming model of the world of society.
The article specifies the conditions for the development of the image of the world as a result of
personally oriented engineering education, which determines the high levels of verbal and non-verbal
intelligence of young generations, high levels of social maturity and health, and a life-affirming model of the
world of society. Unlike destructive and aggressive models of the world caused by "legless", "armless", and
"lawless" ("brainless") education (terms coined by education researcher V. P. Bazarny), a life-affirming
model of the world of society will lead to the victory of Ukraine.
